Eversheds advises ATH Resources on the disposal of its regeneration business
The regeneration business specialises in coal recovery, land remediation and regeneration of mining sites.
The Eversheds team was led by corporate partner Robin Skelton, assisted by corporate solicitor Jonathan Pollard. The other members of the Eversheds team involved in the transaction include banking Associate James Oxley, IP solicitor Sian Lewis and Real Estate solicitor Jessica Calvert.
Client partner Robin Skelton comments:
"This is a classic example of the benefits which private equity brings to our business. We acted on the initial buy out of ATH in the late 1990’s going on to secure the role as their main legal adviser acting on all their corporate acquisitions and their subsequent admission to AIM. We are pleased to have advised ATH Resources on this disposal which allows the new senior management team at ATH to focus on its core surface mining activities."
ATH Resources Chairman, David Port added:
"The disposal of the ATH Regeneration assets will reduce debt and allow the group to focus on its surface mining business. Eversheds is a trusted adviser who we have worked with for a number of years. The firm’s full service offering and expertise, allowed the transaction to complete in a timely and coordinated manner."
