Eversheds ranks in Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index
International law firm Eversheds has featured at number 73 in the Stonewall Top 100 Employers 2012, an annual benchmark of the best employers for lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) people in Britain.
Stonewall is committed to ensuring that the Workplace Equality Index continues to challenge employers and promote leading-edge diversity practice. As a result the criteria was revised and updated in 2012 to recognise the progress that has been made by companies over the past three years.
Eversheds was one of seven law firms to be ranked in the listing, with 36 firms attempting to get into the Top 100 this year.
Cornelius Medvei, Partner Sponsor for Eversheds’ LGB Group, said:
“Our placement in rankings is an achievement for the firm, especially because the criteria has become more challenging for this year. The Index is universally recognised as the UK’s benchmark for LGB equality in the workplace and our placement is testament to all progress that has been made in improving diversity at Eversheds.”
