Eversheds supports NSARE incorporation
International law firm Eversheds has acted on the incorporation of the National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering.
The National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering (NSARE) has been established to deliver a world class railway engineering workforce with the skills needed to develop this growing sector tasked with delivering a large number of exciting strategic projects such as Crossrail and HS2.
NSARE has been developed and formed by the industry itself through the engagement of key stakeholders including Network Rail, Crossrail, Transport for London, the Railway Industry Association, the Association of Train Operating Companies, the Rail Freight Group, GoSkills, the National Rail Contractors Group, SME’s and Railway Engineers.
Mark Brunton, Head of Rail at Eversheds, acted on the incorporation of NSARE, supported by Nathalie Jacoby-Danesh, an associate in the Education team. Eversheds supported NSARE in its developmental stage on a pro bono basis.
Mark said:
“Eversheds is a leading law firm in the rail sector and we are committed to the development and growth of our industry. We were delighted to be able to support NSARE which will develop the skills base of the railway engineering industry to enable it to deliver exciting strategic projects and enable young people entering the industry to develop their full personal potential through excellent skills training.”
Gil Howarth Chief Executive of NSARE Ltd, commented:
“We are very pleased with the advice and support we received from the Eversheds team and we look forward to working with Eversheds in the future.”
Government funding for NSARE as part of the new Skills Strategy was announced by Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills Vince Cable on 16th November 2010.
